Weekend Getaway

For the Fourth of July holiday weekend, my family and I took a little weekend getaway! We visited Oxnard, Channel Islands, Camarillo, Ventura, and Ojai. These are all cities located near Santa Barbara. I had an awesome time and would definitely visit again soon! Glad I came during the holiday weekend because Ventura did an awesome job of making the city come to life for the Fourth of July! Here are some of the pictures I took while I was there. I hope all of you had a fun and safe weekend with your family and friends!
Beautiful sandy beaches of Oxnard!

Taken in front of the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach

Perfect place for an afternoon lounge

These are all organic sorbets filled inside their original shells! I had a mango one and it was delicious; the skin was edible too!

Found at a Farmers Market on Channel Island. 10/10 would recommend!

Had a delicious lunch at Otani's Fish Market in Oxnard! Pictured above: Fresh grilled shrimp and red snapper
I think I found the winners for Most Spirited Family for the 4th of July!

4th of July street fair in Ventura

San Buenaventura Misson! This building is over 300 years old.

Inside courtyard of the mission.

More pics from the street fair! The street was lined with tents from local businesses, shops, and food.

Cont. of the street fair. It was very festive w/ a great vibe!

Picked up this cool sign from one of the vendors at the fair. You could pick out any background/base you want, and they'll personalize it for you! Loved how it turned out.

Candid from Ventura Beach, which was just a few blocks away from the fair. The whole beach was lined with American flags for the holiday!

W/ the fam(acting silly of course)  on Ventura Pier, the longest wooden pier in California!

After lots of walking, finally got to the end of the pier. Naturally, I had to take a snap.

Cont. from the pier ft. me and my airbrushed tat!

Made it back home just in time for the fireworks. It was hard to get a good pic of the fireworks, but I tried my best! Here's a few of my favorites.
